Whole Breaded Scampi Tails

Whole Breaded Scampi Tails

Tom loves scampi — but unlike supermarket versions, ours are made with real breaded scampi tails caught in UK waters. Juicy, tasty, and nothing watery or misleading about them. Easy to bake from frozen, they’re a customer favourite that people come back for again and again.

Frequently asked questions

How does the flash (blast) freezing process benefit the food?

Our produce is blast-frozen at the point of origin by experts, which locks in flavour, enhances freshness, preserves nutrients, and extends shelf life—resulting in superior quality compared to supermarket offerings.

How do deliveries work?

We pack all your food safely in our beautiful boxes, with insulation and dry ice to ensure the food arrives to you as fresh as it leaves us. Our courier will deliver on the date you have chosen in the cart, and we will include a returns label in the box so you can get it back to us for re-use. This helps us to keep delivery costs fair and as sustainable as possible.

What sort of quality assurance or endorsements do you have?

Products are blast-frozen and assessed as restaurant-quality - described as “super fresh” with no fishy odors in the kitchen. We also have attracted and regularly serve notable customers such as Dame Judi Dench. Please read our extensive list of incredible verified reviews for peace of mind on each product!

Why choose frozen over fresh supermarket fish?

Benefits include richer taste, greater freshness, nutrient retention, convenience of storage, healthier cooking and avoiding supermarket shopping stress. In short, supermarket fish is never fish. By definition it can't be.

Do you support sustainability or responsible sourcing?

Here at Tom the Fish we work to the Marine Conservation Society's "Good Fish" guide. This is constantly changing, so we keep a close eye on it. We regularly donate to the Marine Conservation Society, supporting the future of sustainable fishing.

Can I find recipe ideas or usage suggestions?

Yes, there is a dedicated Recipes section on the site - ideal for cooking inspiration using our products.

Regular order for us, not found better

Regular order for us, not found better although we no longer try as they are so good!

Hi Steve. So glad you're enjoying the breaded scampi tails. Supermarkets only have to put a 1/6 of a scampi tail in to be allowed to call it scampi. What's the rest hey? I'm always so happy when people try ours. It really is the good stuff! Tom

Scampi in a basket night.

Not had scampi for years in the basket with chips.
They cook well in air fryer, good crunch , thought they would be bigger inside, saying that we enjoyed them.

Fantastic!

These are absolutely delicious and unlike so many supermarket versions, they don't shrink, ooze water or other additives. Pure scampi in breadcrumbs. Easy to cook and serve with homemade chips and tartar sauce. Enjoy!

Our favourite

I can genuinely say that we have never had better, not even close, to the quality of these scampi. I cook them in an air fryer, takes 8 minutes to cook to perfection from frozen. Ten would be pleanty but we usually have twelve each. Always in our freezer ready for a fabulous supper.

Best ever!

We order and cook these regularly. Really good size and 10-12 makes a good portion. We now cook then in an Air fryer with frozen chips. Using a Tefal ActiFry it takes 21mins for the chips then 8mins for the scampi in the top tray. The result is the best ever scampi and chips, just need tartare sauce and lemon juice.

So Tasty and Convenient

We always like to have a bag of these available for when we need to eat something tasty and a bit special but don't have the time to buy, prepare and cook it.
Delicious with asparagus or broccoli and home made chips.
